Planning your wedding at the Abbey
Start planning your special day by signing up for a personal tour of our 123-year-old converted church. We know you’ll fall in love with our beautiful 19th Century local treasure......gorgeous woodwork, soaring arches, sparkling stained glass casting colors into the chapel! The working E.M. Skinner pipe organ that swells and fills the room with angelic music. Once your ceremony ends, walk right down stairs to our beautiful wine cellar reception hall, after, the happy couple can spend the night at our on-site Kairnigul Cottage.
The wedding ceremony
Your wedding ceremony will take place in the grand, yet intimate Sanctuary, where custom row seating accommodates up to 150 of your family and friends. The alter is the center of it all, where you will take your vows and first steps as a married couple.
Cocktail hour
After the ceremony, guests can be ushered to a cocktail hour in the vestibule! Where they will guests enjoy either butler-passed or displayed hors d’oeuvres. We’ll pump music throughout the entire venue, with your personalized playlist, while our in-house skilled staff handles the “flip” to reception inside. And don’t worry, we’ll work with you on every detail before hand, so we’ll know just how you want your reception to look when we are finished!

The reception.
Your wedding reception is where the Abbey staff really shines. Two options that accommodate between 80 or up to 160 people. Choose from options like a seated dinner or a modern cocktail reception, rely on our accomplished staff to meet all of your needs on your special day! For a seated dinner, the Abbey can accommodate up to 80 guests with tables surrounding the dance floor in the Wine Cellar. If you’re looking for a fun and casual reception with up to 100 of your closest friends and family, then the Abbey’s spin on the modern cocktail reception is the route for you. Swap out formal seating arrangements for tall cocktail style tables, strategically arranged chairs and up to two open bars and you’ll have plenty of room for mingling and dancing. The reception room has access to two restrooms, one handicapped accessible, Both our reception room and chapel are handicapped accessible. More than 80 people, in the summer months we have our reception tent set out back. Beautiful White Tent with clear sidewalls, the white billowy tent liner gives the tent a dreamy formal look, perfect for your special day and can accommodate up to 160 of your guests. We can offer you either the Chapel or the whole space for your wedding and reception needs. Space rents out in 4 hour blocks , but we can quote you a full day or day and a half day.
The Kairnigul Cottage at the Abbey
Book our 4 bedroom on-site cottage for your bridal party. Decorate the reception hall, spend the night with your best pals for a intimate cozy evening getting ready for the next step in your life or after the reception the happy couple can retire on-site before slipping away on their honeymoon. They have multiple ways to play music for the ceremony and during the reception. They do all the set up and clean up for the reception area. Stacy is very accommodating and extremely helpful. We also contracted her to cook the brunch. The food was delicious. I had lots of people talking to me about it and I loved to bring the leftovers home with me.
